How It All Began

Joey & George's began with a mother and two college-age sons undertaking a summer project. Originally, as a grilling company, J&G served hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches at "Fridays in the Park" in downtown Beckley, WV. The customers could watch their burger being cooked on the grill  and topped with condiments to their specific order. Each Friday office workers and downtown visitors were offerred their sandwich of choice, together with homemade cookies, chips and drink at a reasonable cost. The philosophy from the first day was to offer a high-quality food with friendly service at an affordable price. Joey & George's was  successful from day-one.

The acceptance was overwhelming requiring the entire family to assist at the beginning of the second season-Mom and Dad, Shari and Roland, and three sons, Justin, Nathan and Joshua.

Although outdoor grilling with a flair remains one of the services provided by J&G, with each successful event, Joey and George's has now grown into a full-service off-premise catering provider with cuisine for the home parties, office meetings, and special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, wedding receptions, rehearal dinners, reunions, church and fire-department events.
